Why we exist

Most equity lists grow faster than the time available to re-read them. System Engine Point was founded in the City to give private investors and advisers a place to send a crowded universe and receive a disciplined screening note in return.

We are deliberately small. That keeps every engagement close to the people who write the note — not handed down a research ladder.

How we work

Screening here is a craft of reading, comparing, and deciding against a stated frame. We favour primary filings and peer context over recycled commentary. Where a name is borderline, we say so rather than force a binary call.

Sessions are calm and specific. You leave with classifications and reasons, not a stack of charts without a conclusion.

People and place

The practice operates from Level 8, 26 King Street, London EC2V 8AA, with remote reviews available throughout Great Britain. Our clients typically include private investors managing their own books, small family offices, and advisers preparing for a quarterly rebalance conversation.

Values we hold to

  • Clarity over volume — fewer pages, sharper recommendations
  • Stated criteria — the screening bar is agreed before names are judged
  • Independence — we are not paid to promote issuers or products
  • Honesty about limits — when a list needs more time or a different specialist, we say so

Working with you

If your question is “does this equity still belong?”, we are the right desk. If you need discretionary management or product distribution, we will point you elsewhere rather than stretch the brief.
